ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 13 year old is facing some serious charges Wednesday morning after Rochester police say he stole a vehicle and led officers on a chase.
Rochester police say a 39-year-old was beaten and had his car stolen on Dewey Avenue just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Just before 1:30 a.m. officers spotted the stolen vehicle on Driving Park Avenue.
They say the driver led officers on a chase before the vehicle hit a curb on Ridgeway Avenue and the occupants got out and ran.
Police took both into custody after a short foot chase.
They say the 13-year-old driver is charged with robbery, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
A 14-year-old passenger is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Both are expected to be arraigned later Wednesday morning.
