ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police have arrested a suspect in connection to a double homicide last month.

Investigators say it appears as though the victims weren't the intended targets.

Samuel Shaw, 28, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, as well as first-degree assault.

Chief Michael Ciminelli says Shaw was the sole gunman in the shooting that killed William Gibson and Anthony Robertson and paralyzed a third person.

Gibson and Robertson were found dead in a car in the parking of Rite Aid on Thurston Road in the early hours of June 20.

"We believe this is the result of a dispute that the suspect was involved in. We also do not believe that the three people shot were the intended victims,” said Ciminelli.

Shaw was arrested Saturday night.

He's scheduled to be arraigned in Rochester City Court Monday morning.
