ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police say a woman tried to hit her ex-boyfriend with her car, but missed, and hit another person.
Police say the suspect, 24-year-old Jaide Campbell of Greece, was arguing with her ex-boyfriend in the area of East Main Street near Beechwood Street shortly after midnight.
They say when Campbell missed him with the car she instead hit a 26-year-old woman.
The victim was taken to Rochester General Hospital with minor injuries.
Police found Campbell and her car on Herkimer Street. She is being charged with assault, DWI and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
Campbell pleaded not guilty. Bail was set for $2,000 cash or $6,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 15.
