ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A police chase ended in a crash in downtown Rochester overnight.

Rochester police say they tried to stop a suspect, 52-year-old Ozelle Vickers of Rochester, on Chestnut Street near East Avenue when he took off. 

Troopers found the vehicle and chased Vickers until he crashed into a state police car on State Street, near the Federal Courthouse building around 3:30 a.m. Friday.

The chase lasted less than ten minutes.  

 

Vickers faces DWI, reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing, resisting arrest and other charges. He was remaned to the Monroe County Jail and his next court date is scheduled for Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

No officers or troopers were hurt.
