SENECA FALLS, N.Y. — A Seneca County father is charged with felony DWI after he allegedly drove drunk and wrecked his car, with his 1-year-old inside.
Seneca Falls Police say 28-year-old Leonard Carlsen of Romulus was driving on Kingdom Road when he lost control of his car and crashed into a mailbox, concrete barrier, fire hydrant and utility pole, snapping it in half.
The crash caused a power outage in the area.
Carlsen's 1-year-old daughter was in the back and was taken by ambulance to Geneva General Hospital with minor injuries.
Carlsen was not injured. He's charged with aggravated DWI, child endangerment, and a handful of traffic tickets.
He was arraigned and sent to Seneca County Jail on $5,000 bail.
