SENECA FALLS, N.Y. — A Seneca Falls man is facing several charges after police say he strangled a woman in a home with half a dozen children nearby.

Steven Grillone, 30, was arrested while leaving the scene in Waterloo.

Police say Grillone was breaking things inside the home before he strangled a 35-year-old woman until she was unconscious with six children under the age of 12 inside the home. 

He's charged with strangulation, harassment, child endangerment, criminal mischief and criminal contempt.

Grillone was arraigned in the Tyre Town Court and is being held in Seneca County Jail on $10,000.
