ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police have not yet released the name of the man found dead inside a home on Clarkson Street early Wednesday morning.

Authorities say a family member found him in the entryway of the home around 1:30 a.m.

Police say he suffered trauma to his lower and upper body, but do not yet know how he died.

They are calling his death suspicious until the Medical Examiner determines the cause of death.

"A relative in the house called so we are speaking to that relative to determine the circumstances which led to his death," said Jackie Shuman, RPD. "I can tell you the male is in his 50s. This is an isolated incident and there is nothing for them to be nervous about in this neighborhood, but we also ask neighbors if they see something, call and let us know and don't be afraid."

There was a fire at this same house back on November 15th. During that incident, two men went to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
