CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — Canandaigua police have made an arrest in connection to a September homicide.

Police arrested 18-year-old Robert Clegg of Canandaigua and charged him with first degree murder, two counts of first degree burglary, two counts of first degree robbery, second degree arson, as well as criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of marijuana.

Clegg has been held in the Ontario County Jail since October 1 on unrelated burglary and drug charges.

Police say Clegg's arrest stems from a fatal fire in Canandaigua that claimed the life of 21-year-old Nicholas Bice.

Clegg was arrested at the Ontario County Jail Monday morning and arraigned in Ontario County Court on grand jury indictments.

Clegg is being held without bail and his next court appearance is scheduled for March 2.
