GATES, N.Y. — A Gates woman is facing new charges after police say she filed a false complaint of police abuse following her arrest last Wednesday.

Police say 49-year-old Tina Lehman was first arrested for obstructing governmental administration after they say she physically interfered with an officer who was holding suspects.

The next day, police say she filed a citizen's complaint, giving a sworn written statement alleging that an officer pointed a gun in her face and that another officer pushed her face into the mud.

Gates police examined body camera footage from multiple officers, and statements from witnesses at the scene and found the allegations to be false.
