ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A Rochester home has serious damage after a car crashed into it Friday morning.

Rochester police say a car was trying to pass another on Bay Street when the two collided, sending the first car off the road and into an apartment house.

The driver and one person in the apartment were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

It's not clear if the other driver was injured.

Police say one side of the home has substantial damage to a wall and the basement foundation.

They're waiting for engineers to assess the structure before removing the car.

Investigators are looking into whether speed was a factor in the crash.
