ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A family torn apart, but a sister determined to preserve the name of her brother, Craig Rideout, the father of seven who died at the hands of ones closest to him.

“The falseness that my brother has been painted with it's just that, it's just false," said Robbyn Drew, Craig Rideout's sister.

Craig's estranged wife Laura and their son Colin were found guilty of second degree murder and tampering with evidence charges. Their other son Alex was acquitted on the murder charge, but found guilty of tampering with evidence. Laura and Colin both received sentences of 25 years to life and one and a third to four years for evidence tampering. Laura was also sentenced to 15 years for burglary. Their sentences will run consecutively.

“It was relief, it was wow," Drew said. "Some of my own personal worry was eased."

Even with a sense of justice, Drew believes someone else is responsible: Paul Tucci, Laura's boyfriend and her brother's best friend.

"Do I think Paul was involved? I still think he was involved, but with what they had to work with, they did the best they could to the best of their abilities," Drew said.

Since reporting her brother missing Robbyn says since then she has only heard from one of the seven Rideout children. Colin and Alex's brother Andrew.

“I don’t know that he'll let me know if there was any knowledge obviously he had contact with his siblings before the verdict," Drew said.

Although the death of her brother has left a huge hole in their hearts she reveals what happens next in this hurtful chapter.

"Just because I can forgive an action doesn’t make it acceptable, doesn’t make it OK, but allows me to be able to move on," she said. "How do you forget? You don’t forget."
