BRIGHTON, N.Y. — Some 600 crossfit athletes from around the state will compete in Rochester this weekend.

The 7th Annual Catalyst Games is Saturday at the Iceplex on the MCC campus in Brighton. Some of the athletes train at CrossFit Boomtown.

More than 100, four-person teams will work through five different events that include dead lifts, pullups, wall balls, slam balls and burpee box jumps.

"We have a great community here that's full of moms and teachers and parents and everyday people who want to get healthy and have fun and be a part of something," said Mellissa Curtis, Catalyst Games

The competition is Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the iceplex at MCC.

Donations at the door will benefit ROCovery Fitness in Rochester that supports sober living through exercise.
