A Wayne County man who went on the hunt for a hot cup of coffee ended up getting a whole lot more.

Raymond Shove is $5 million richer after buying a $20 dollar scratch-off lottery ticket.

“There was an angel with me no doubt about it,” said Shove.

Shove bought the ticket back in January after a long day of work. He says he was craving a cup of coffee and stopped at a local gas station. After discovering they were out of coffee, he headed to a Fastrac gas station on Route 104 in Ontario. Once there, Shove bought a scratch off ticket as well.

Shove says his wife refused to believe that he actually won until seeing the check.

After taxes, he'll receive a lump sum of $3,309,000.

He is the seventh New Yorker this year to win a jackpot of a million dollars or more.

“Investments, bike, car, truck. I'm gonna spend quite a bit of it right here in town,” said Shove while receiving his prize.

He added that he doesn't plan to quit his job will continue to play the lottery.
