The state Business Council's political action committee issued a late endorsement of Governor Andrew Cuomo, but also criticized some of his more recent policies. Specifically, the PAC mentioned raising the state's minimum wage and establishing a paid family leave program as negatives. But they also factored in accomplishments such as the real property tax cap and investment in regional economies and public infrastructure in the decision to back Cuomo over Republican Marc Molinaro and the three minor party candidates. The group endorsed Cuomo in his last two bids for governor, too. The Council's President and CEO, Heather Briccetti, explains further.
