Last month, a renewal of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act was signed into law. This is a workforce development program geared towards students seeking to continue their education, but perhaps on non-traditional pathways - preferring on the job experience to college.

It's the first major education policy bill to pass since President Donald Trump took office.
