Today good government groups, supporters of the child victims act and other advocates teamed up to from a "coalition of the shafted" and push for the legislature to address several issues before leaving Albany.

Many of the bills, like the ethics reform measures, have been debated for months or even years.

And meanwhile another major corruption trial is getting underway- this one involving the former president of SUNY Poly, the developers of the Buffalo Billion project, and the two executives from Syracuse who were also involved in the Joe Percoco trial earlier this year.
