Restaurant owners and other business groups are going to be watching the state Department of Labor's hearings on tipped worker wages very closely. As you may recall, the agency has been instructed by Governor Cuomo to review whether it still works to pay some workers less than minimum wage as long as they make enough in tips to balance it out. If they decide to end the tipped worker credit, it would mean big changes for the restaurant industry and others like car washes and nail salons. Joining us to explain why they think that would be a bad change are Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner and Beth Alexander, owner of Hattie's restaurant in Saratoga Springs.
