The state Senate passed a bill aimed at cracking down on heroin and opioid overdoses - for the fifth time. Laree's Law, named after Laree Farrell Lincoln who died of a heroin overdose in 2013, would charge drug dealers with homicide if someone dies from the opiates they sold them. Under current law, a dealer who sells a drug that leads to a person's death is usually only charged with the criminal sale of a controlled substance. Joining us to talk more about this and the other measures proposed by Senate Republicans is Senator George Amedore.
