CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — There may be an end in sight for that stalled resort and hotel project along the north end of Canandaigua Lake.

City Manager John Goodwin says Summit Financial has agreed to fund the project in exchange for part ownership.

The deal would split ownership theeways: Developer Bob Murphy would become 50 percent owner, his partner, David Genecco would own 30 percent while Summit would acquire 20 percent ownership.

According to Goodwin, Hilton has approved plans become the building's tenant.

If all goes as planned, the Finger Lakes Resort and Hotel could be completed as early as the summer of 2019.
