ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Workers at a local company have until July to find new employment.

The New York State Department of Labor issued a WARN notice saying Synaptics Incorporated is closing its Linden Oaks facility.

All 40 non-union employees at the plant will lose their jobs. The layoff date is July 20th.

The company lists the reason for closing as "economic."

Synaptics Incorporated designs hardware and software products to enhance human interface with technology.

Some of those products include fingerprint sensors, touch controllers and display drivers.
