An Amherst man has been arrested following a hit and run in Clarence that sent two children to the hospital.

London White, 27, was arrested Friday and charged with a misdemeanor and multiple vehicle and traffic violations, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said.

On Wednesday afternoon, police received reports of a hit and run crash where a white delivery truck collided with a passenger vehicle, which rolled over with a parent and two children inside. The white truck drove away.

Representatives from Value City Furniture, after seeing reports on the crash, called the Sheriff’s Office and reported damage consistent with the incident on one of its delivery trucks.

White is facing charges of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, speeding, failure to yield the right of way and failure to stop at a stop sign. He surrendered himself to deputies with his lawyer and was released on tickets to appear in Clarence Town Court.

The Sheriff’s Office did not provided updated information on the injuries to the two children, saying only that they are expected to fully recover.
