CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The New York State Girls Soccer Championships in Cortland this weekend. Spencerport defending their Class A title agains Pearl River. They’re doing it with a lot of help from Leah Wengender. She notches two goals, both to tie the game. And that’s how it’ll stay, Spencerport’s unbeaten streak extends to 45, but this year they’ll share the title with Pearl River.

In Class B, Aquinas girls playing for their first state title in 15 years squaring off against Westhill. Emily Cook’s free kick puts Aquinas up 2-1 in the second half, but Westhill ties it and they finish the season Class B co-champions.

In Class D, the defending champions, Wheatland-Chili hoping for a repeat against Poland. They’ll have to fight for it in OT, Travina Meeks knocks in the game-winner for the Wildcats. The 3-2 overtime win earns them their back-to-back titles.
