Each week during Friday Night Matchup, Spectrum News will celebrate some of the top student-athletes that Western New York has to offer.

CLARENCE, N.Y. — Clarence High School’s Chloe Esch represents everything a student-athlete should strive to be.

Esch is a three-sport senior, a member of her school’s tennis, ice hockey and lacrosse teams. She also serves as the tennis team’s captain and is well-respected by her coaches.

Her accomplishments aren’t just in athletics, but in the classroom as well. Esch has a 98.4 academic average and also serves as student council vice president and freshman orientation coordinator.

Esch is actively completing her community service requirements and is called an “exemplary representative of the Clarence athletic program.”

Esch will receive a $1,000 scholarship, going to the college of her choice.
