Republicans and Democrats are stumping till the last minute for votes. 

Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul and Democratic Attorney General Candidate Letitia "Tish" James made their rounds through Western New York Sunday. The pair were joined later by Erie County Clerk Candidate, Angela Marinucci at a rally in Hamburg. 

Erie County Republican headquarters in Cheektowaga were busy with volunteers making calls to trump up support. 

Both parties talked with us s about which sector of the population they anticipate to get the most support from at the polls. 

Hochul says she's seen a surge in political activity from women. 

"For countless reasons, as well as knowing their own reproductive health rights is on the line, and the rights of their own children and their daughters are on the line; there's more energy in women than I've seen in my lifetime," Hochul said. 

Erie County Republican Chair Nick Langworthy says he anticipates young people will make their mark during this midterm election. 

"We see a big uptick in youth involvement," said Langworthy. "The election of 2016 being so widely covered that has never ended. It continued to get people more motivated." 

Recent Siena College Polls show key races for New York Governor and the 27th Congressional District will be close.
