For Buffalo Bills fans, waking up Sunday was like a hot, sunny Christmas morning as the Bills returned to New Era Field for their season home opener.

"Let's Go Buffalo!" Fans cheered through the sea of red, white and Zubaz as fans packed lots and starting to tailgate hours before the game began. They broke out their grills and coolers, laying out spreads from eggs and bacon to steaks and cheeseburgers, and of course, chicken wings.

Many fans said one of the best parts of the whole experience of a Buffalo Bills season is rallying around the team on their home turf, joining together as a community.

"The best part of the Bills season is this, these people we are a woven knit of energy. There's not a fan base loyal in the NFL than any other fan base than right here. Where would you rather be than right here, right now" said Brian Wicka from Cape Coral, Florida.

"Up at 5:30 a.m. for our Bills," said Andrea Jankowicz from Buffalo.

Flags were waving, footballs were thrown and Frisbees were slapped into cans before fans made their way inside for a new season of Buffalo Bills football.
