A former Niagara Falls Police Officer will serve probation for her role in a drug conspiracy.

Stephanie Costanzo was sentenced to three years’ probation after being convicted of managing a drug-involved premises.

Between July and November of 2016, Costanzo's boyfriend Raymond Hopson sold cocaine to undercover officers posing as drug customers.

Costanzo knew Hopson stored his cocaine and paraphernalia at her house, which resulted in her conviction.

She was arrested in November 2016 when DEA agents broke up a cocaine operation in her home. She later resigned from the Niagara Falls Police Department.

Hopson and Lindsay Carrier, the people selling the drugs out of Costanzo’s home, both pleaded guilty to distribution charges and face sentences of five to 40 years in prison in addition to a fine of up to $5 million. At the time of their arrest, 5.6 grams of cocaine was found in Costanzo’s home.

Hopson will be sentenced at a later date.
