BUFFALO, N.Y. — The University at Buffalo's South Campus will soon be getting a facelift.

The university's original campus will undergo a series of renovation phases that have been in the works for four years.

It's all part of the University's 2020 master plan.

The biggest change will include moving the school of Social Work & Graduate Schools of Education from the North Campus, which leaders say is currently at capacity.

"Our professional schools will be migrating from our North Campus to our South Campus. And our schools that are currently on our South Campus will be enlarged, the buildings will be upgraded and in addition to that we will be restoring our landscapes,” said Kelly Hayes McAlonie, UB’s director of campus planning.

Construction begins this month.

The work is expected to take five to seven years to complete.
