A North Tonawanda man is dead after being hit by two vehicles.

Police say the 34-year-old was riding a bike down Twin City Memorial Highway around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say when the light turned red at Schenck Street, he sped up and tried to cross.

That's when a car hit, knocking him off the bicycle. A second vehicle then ran him over.

Both drivers are cooperating with the investigation.

The cyclist's name is not being released at this time.
