The Buffalo man who stabbed a dog last fall will spend the next two years in jail.

James Craddock, 47, a former city parks employee, confronted a woman and her dog on Mineral Springs Road last September when he took out a large knife and stabbed the nine-year-old pit bull mix.

The dog, named Audi, was treated for a deep stab wound and blood loss.

Craddock, who was fired from his position shortly after the incident, was sentenced Tuesday morning on a charge of aggravated cruelty to animals.
