YMCA's across the country are celebrating the signs of summer to remind kids to get out and remain active.

Healthy Kids Day shows families how to stay fit and have fun. Kids can flip around in a gymnastic session or rock out during dance class.

The event teaches youngsters to eat healthy and get moving.

"It's about creating the opportunity to learn today that they can then hopefully take home with them and come back to the Y and hopefully participate in these activities again,” said South Towns YMCA Associate Director Jessie Bari.

During the weekend-long program, families can also sign up for summer camp at a cheaper price.
