BUFFALO, N.Y. — After canceling surgeries for sanitation concerns, the Buffalo VA Medical Center is operating once again.

The hospital found discolored white tray liners in some of the sterilization packages.

That discoloration has since been attributed to natural elements in the water used in the sterilization process. This poses no risk to patients.

All previously canceled surgeries are being rescheduled.
