BUFFALO, N.Y. - In the past three weeks, several new businesses have opened in the Queen City at the 43 North Incubator. One of the owners came from California, while another arrived from Eastern Canada looking for success.

Last fall, 43 North announced the winners of its startup competition. Each of the eight businesses received an adviser, resources to advance their success and access to quality of life initiatives.

“An unlimited amount of talent for us to hire. Being in Los Angeles and just having the cost of living adjustment that we get moving to Buffalo, it means a lot," said Scott Wayman, Kangarootime CEO. "And then there’s the confidence that the city of Buffalo has instilled in us, and we fell driven by that, we feel a responsibility, a stewardship to really do great things here.”
