JAMESTOWN, N.Y. -- Crews are now rebuilding a Church in Jamestown, nearly 10 months after the original building burnt down the day after Christmas.

Construction is underway on the First Church of God building on Falconer Street in Jamestown.

Leaders say the new Church will be a one floor, L-shaped building with a larger parking lot.

The original building caught fire the day after Christmas mass and had to be knocked down.

The new million dollar rebuild is being paid for through insurance and community donations.

"Where God is moving and directing us in a way we never thought before, and our possibilities are endless at this point, and we're, the congregation is very excited," said Pastor Mervin Lee, First Church of God.

Pastor Lee says he'd like to see the doors open sometime in the Spring.
