BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Western New Yorkers are speaking out about the nuclear warnings being sent back and forth between both countries.
Dozens gathered Saturday afternoon for a "No Nukes Vigil" on Bidwell Parkway.
Members of the Western New York Peace Center and Interfaith Peace Network expressed concern about the rhetoric coming from the Trump administration and North Korea.
They stood against any idea of a nuclear strike, rather stressing the importance of actions and policies that benefit the common good of all people.
"What right gives one person or one nation the right to put not only their people, but the people of the world under the threat of nuclear annihilation. Who has that power? The answer is no one should," said Jim Anderson, Peace Action NYS president.
