As the Jamestown Red Raiders get ready to hit the field, they're also getting ready to adjust to their move to Class A — a level where they found state championship success back in the early '90s.

After that, the roster is very similar to last year, returning most of their offensive line and skilled position players.

That experience is what Jamestown will lean on to return to prominence.

"It is great. Last year we were really young minus a few seniors we had last year we really lined up our jayvees from the year before. Now all those guys are back and are clear on what it takes to win on the varsity level, large school football," said Jamestown head coach Tom Langworthy.

"It really helps us out because we really know how each other works. We have different attitudes that works together and different skill sets, so it is good as a offense to have that back," said Drew Boggs, Jamestown senior quarterback.

"It is good to have all our guys back because we all know what is expected and what we need to do. It helps to have all that experience of what to do when we go out there," said Peyton Olson, Jamestown running back/linebacker.

Jamestown starts the season by hosting West Seneca East Friday at 7:00 p.m.
