An attacker shot with his own gun in Buffalo is set to spend up to 20 years in prison.

Sandy Jones, 34, was sentenced in state Supreme Court Wednesday.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says a jury found Jones guilty of an assault on Thatcher Avenue last year.

Jones — armed with two guns — approached another man as he was leaving a grocery store.

The man wrestled a gun away from Jones, then they shot each other.

Both men were treated at ECMC.
