Buffalo Police have confirmed one man is dead following several shootings across Buffalo early Sunday.

A 36-year-old man died from his injuries, police said Monday morning. He was taken to ECMC after being shot near Genesee and Herman streets just after 3 a.m. Sunday. 

That happened hours after a suspect opened fire on a group outside a gathering on the first block of Strauss Street. Officers say the shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

Five men were taken to ECMC. Police say two of them, both 21 years old, are in serious condition. A 27-year-old man is in good condition and a 47-year-old suffered non-life threatening injuries. Investigators say the final victim, a 17-year-old, was treated and released.
