BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man found guilty of cold-case murder was sentenced for the crime Tuesday.

Leron Bailey, 36, was found guilty of shooting at a parked vehicle at the corner of Stevens Avenue and East Ferry Street back in 2013.

Erie County DA John Flynn says 20-year-old Diamond Toler was shot in the heart and later died, while the man who was the intended target survived. Flynn says that man testified in court.

"Mr. Bailey is a bad man. Mr. Bailey deserves to spend the rest of his life behind bars and he got 65 years to life today. So he's not getting out and he doesn't deserve to get out. He, in my mind, can't be rehabilitated and should be in jail for the rest of his life,” said Flynn.

Flynn also says the shooting stemmed from a fight over a stereo.
