BUFFALO, N.Y. — The driver in a September hit-and-run that injured a 55-year-old woman was sentenced Tuesday.

Theodore Canaski, 29, of Wheatfield was sentenced to one to three years in prison.

In October, he pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an incident without reporting resulting in serious physical injury.

Canaski admitted to hitting the woman on Ontario Street on September 4 and driving away.

He was on parole and his sentence will be added to any prison time he faces for violating that parole.
