Nonprofit organizations are asking Governor Cuomo to increase their funding in this year's budget to keep up with the rising minimum wage, possible cuts in federal funding, and other challenges. The Strong Nonprofits for a Better New York coalition is also asking for more grants for the Nonprofit Infrastructure Capital Improvement program. Or, at least for the funding allocated in recent years to finally be released. Tuesday, the coalition held a bake sale of sorts to demonstrate members' financial challenges.
