It's been more than two months since Congress let funding for the Child Health Insurance Program, or CHIP as it's known, expire. So far, most states have been able to keep the program running off of the money that had previously been authorized. But the brief infusion of cash included in the two week federal spending bill wasn't enough. And Colorado and Virginia are sending letters to parents warning them that coverage will soon run out.
