The national focus on sexual misconduct has advocates in New York making a renewed push for the Child Victims Act. The bill would change the statue of limitations for bringing a civil or criminal complaint against someone for sexual abuse of a child. Currently, victims have until they are 23. This year the Assembly passed legislation to change that to 28 for criminal cases and 50 for civil. But it stalled in the Senate, and now New Yorkers Against Hidden Predators is launching ad campaigns against senators who don't support the bill. One of the group's founding members, Stephen Jimenez, joins us to discuss.
