The Orange County District Attorney’s Office confirms an investigation in the Newburgh City School District.
Multiple buildings in the district are involved, including Newburgh Free Academy.
The reason for the investigation is unknown, though officers say it has nothing to do with violence or physical danger.
Search warrants at Newburgh School District Headquarters were executed by 12 officers and conducted Tuesday.
