A Milton native and former United States Military Academy faculty member has been appointed to this year's class of White House Fellows.

Christina Fanitzi will serve at the National Economic Council at the White House for the next year.

As a military intelligence officer, Fanitzi led soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. She also taught leadership, accounting, and negotiations in West Point’s Behavioral Sciences and Leadership Department and led the West Point Negotiation Project.

While at the USMA, Fanitzi also established the first Army Negotiation Conference.

The White House Fellows program is highly competitive and gives professionals from all backgrounds a chance to serve in the federal government at a high level.
