Outgoing Newburgh City Manager Michael Ciaravino has his next career move: out of state.

Ciaravino has applied for the city manager's position in Springfield, Ohio.

He was appointed to be Newburgh's city manager in 2014. Ciaravino has recently seen the city through the PFOS water contamination crisis in the city. Most notably, in a September 10 City Council meeting, Ciaravino went on the record saying to "never, ever, ever" drink Washington Lake water processed at the current plant.

Ciaravino does have ties to Ohio, as he previously served as mayor of the city of Maple Heights.
