Mount Saint Mary College has closed a freshmen residence hall over the weekend to deal with a mold problem.

Administrators say students first reported mold growing in Sakac Hall and treatment of individual spots didn't work.

They closed the dorm on September 23 and called in a professional cleaning crew.

Students have been temporarily moved to places on and off campus, including nearby hotels.

They've also been provided with transportation to and from campus.

Classes are continuing as scheduled.

Administrators say it's not clear how long it will take to clean up the mold.
