The District Attorneys' Association of New York says it's ready to investigate cases of abuse by Catholic priests.

This comes after New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood reached out to DAs across the state to assist with the investigation.

Her request follows a massive grand jury report recently released in Pennsylvania, detailing thousands of abuse cases in the state that go back decades.

Albany County DA David Soares, the president of New York's DA association, wrote, "The horrific findings in Pennsylvania show the need for a similar investigation in New York State. We owe it to past victims and current victims to fully investigate sexual abuse crimes."
