Northern Dutchess Hospital is introducing a new radiology suite to help provide more effective treatments for patients.

The $3 million interventional radiology suite offers a less invasive treatment option for patients at the Rhinebeck facility.

The radiology is for patients suffering from complex medical issues, including cancer and liver disease. This form of treatment can be used as an alternative to having surgery.

A spokesperson from the hospital says the technology can be used routinely across all fields of medicine.
