AUSTIN, Texas – The cause of death for a baby that died at a Williamson County day care has been determined to be from natural causes.

The 5-month-old child was reported unresponsive around 9:30 a.m. on May 17 at an in-home day care in northwest Austin.

The death was determined to be from sudden infant death syndrome. According to the Mayo Clinic, SIDS occurs usually while the child is sleeping and affects seemingly healthy infants.
