SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Republican candidate for lieutenant governor appeared in Central New York to call for an end to what she says are corrupt political donations.

Julie Killian spoke at the CNY Film Hub in Syracuse Wednesday, where she pushed for Governor Cuomo to give back any money that went into his campaign for the hub.

The facility, which was funded by $15 million of taxpayer money, was sold to Onondaga County for just $1 last month.

Killian also cited what she called other failed or corrupt projects across the state, including the Buffalo Billion project and Start Up NY campaign advertising.

"We need to help the businesses that are here and certainly have economic conditions that will help the businesses that are here but bring more businesses here. And what happens every day is follow the money. The money goes into Cuomo’s campaign account, gets taken out of the wallets of the taxpayers that are working so hard just to get by in New York,” Killian said.

Killian also made a stop in Binghamton. Gubernatorial candidate Marc Molinaro selected her as his running mate last month.
